Anita had always been passionate about makeup and hair, but she was frustrated by the lack of artists who truly understood East Asian features. She often thought, “If I can’t find someone, others must feel the same.”
In 2017, Anita enrolled at Canadian Beauty College and began building her portfolio under Anita’s Artistry.
When the pandemic hit, she paused. Life moved forward but returned to bridal work when a relative asked for help. It brought back memories and reignited her spark. She briefly pursued certification in wedding planning through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, but soon realized her deeper impact was in makeup for East Asians.
Today, Anita focuses on celebrating East Asian beauty in all its forms. For her, makeup isn’t about trends. It’s about honouring who you are.
